Kauban Mail is a desktop and mobile mail client that can optionally create
Zoom meetings when you send a calendar meeting invite.
This page is the user documentation for the Zoom Marketplace app:
how to add the integration, use it, and remove it.
Adding the App
You add the Kauban Mail Zoom integration from inside Kauban Mail after you
have installed the app and added at least one mail account. You can also
start from the Zoom App Marketplace listing and follow the in-app steps below.

Step-by-step
Open Kauban Mail.
Open Settings (or the equivalent on your platform — see Platform guides).
Open the mail account you want to use for meeting invites (Manage account / Edit…).
Find Meeting technologies.
Turn on Zoom Meetings (on Android the row is labeled Zoom).
Complete Zoom sign-in in the browser or sign-in window that appears.
Allow Kauban Mail to access the Zoom scopes requested for creating meetings.
When authorization succeeds, the status shows Connected.
You can close Settings and compose a meeting invite.

Usage
The Zoom integration has one primary feature: create a Zoom conference and
attach join details when you send a meeting invite from Kauban Mail.
Feature: Create a Zoom meeting from a meeting invite
Use case: You are organizing a meeting by email and want attendees to join via Zoom without leaving Kauban Mail.
Prerequisites
Zoom connected for the mail account that will send the invite (status Connected)
You are composing a meeting request (not a plain email), using that account as the sender
How to use
Start a new meeting invite (for example New Meeting… from Calendar or the To-Do bar).
Set subject, attendees, start time, duration, and body as usual.
Under Online (or the meeting options area), turn on
Zoom Meeting / Add Zoom meeting
(exact label varies by platform — see below).
Wait until Kauban Mail finishes creating the Zoom meeting
(status such as Creating Zoom meeting…, then a join link).
Send the invite. Join details (URL, Meeting ID, and passcode when Zoom provides one) are included for attendees.
Notes
Zoom and Microsoft Teams are mutually exclusive per invite.
Only one online meeting link is attached. If both integrations are connected,
choose Zoom or Teams for that invite (on Linux, Zoom is used when both are connected).
Meeting creation uses your Zoom account via Zoom’s API. Kauban Mail does not
host Zoom meetings or relay meeting traffic through Kauban servers.
Tokens for Zoom are stored locally on your device (Keychain, Credential Manager,
Keystore, or equivalent) with your mail account secrets.

where you run Kauban Mail.
macOS
Add / disconnect Zoom:Settings → Accounts → Mail accounts → Edit…
(sheet title Manage accounts) →
Meeting technologies → Zoom Meetings.
You can also enable Zoom on the account setup success pane under
Meeting technology.
Authorize: Kauban Mail opens an isolated browser sign-in session.
You may need to enter your Zoom credentials each time you connect.
Create a meeting: Compose a meeting request
(New Meeting…, including from Calendar or the To-Do bar).
Under Online, enable Zoom Meeting, wait for the join link, then send.
Authorize: Your system browser opens via the desktop portal.
Complete Zoom sign-in, then return to Kauban Mail when authorization finishes.

Send as calendar meeting invite
(also injects Zoom/Teams join link when connected).
When Zoom is connected, Kauban Mail creates a Zoom meeting on send
(if both Zoom and Teams are connected, Zoom is used).
There is no separate Zoom checkbox in the compose form on Linux.
iOS
Add / disconnect Zoom:Settings → Accounts → tap the mail account
(Manage account) →
Meeting technologies → Zoom Meetings.
Authorize: Isolated browser sign-in (same pattern as macOS).
You may need to enter Zoom credentials when connecting.
Create a meeting: Compose a meeting request, enable
Zoom Meeting under online meeting options, wait for the join link, then send.
In-app help:Settings → Help.
Android
Add / disconnect Zoom:
Bottom navigation Settings → Accounts → tap the mail account
(Manage account) → Meeting technologies → Zoom.
Authorize: Your device browser (or Custom Tabs) opens for Zoom sign-in,
then returns to Kauban Mail.
Create a meeting: Calendar Add → New meeting
(or equivalent). Under Online, turn on Zoom Meeting,
wait until creation finishes, then send. Send stays blocked until the Zoom meeting is ready if the toggle is on.

Removing the App
You can remove (deauthorize) the Kauban Mail Zoom app from your Zoom account,
and/or disconnect Zoom inside Kauban Mail. Do both if you want a full disconnect.
Open the same Meeting technologies settings for your mail account (see Platform guides).
Turn Zoom Meetings / Zoomoff.
On most platforms this disables the integration and clears locally stored Zoom
access and refresh tokens for that account. After disconnect, Kauban Mail will
not create new Zoom meetings until you connect again.
Implications of de-authorization
Kauban Mail can no longer call Zoom APIs on your behalf (including creating meetings
from compose) until you add the app again and sign in.
Meeting invites you already sent keep any Zoom join links that were included at send time.
Those meetings remain in Zoom under your Zoom account unless you change or delete them in Zoom.
Existing calendar events and mail in Kauban Mail are unchanged; only Zoom API access is revoked.
How we handle your data after removal
Kauban Mail does not operate a Zoom data cloud for this feature.
Zoom OAuth tokens are stored only on your device with your account secrets.
When you disconnect Zoom in the app, those tokens are removed from local storage on that device
(where supported by the platform disconnect flow).
When you remove the app in Zoom, Zoom revokes authorization for the Marketplace app.
Any remaining tokens on a device become unusable; disconnect in Kauban Mail to clear them locally as well.
We do not retain Zoom meeting content, recordings, or attendee lists on Kauban servers.

Troubleshooting
Cannot add or authorize Zoom
Confirm you have a working internet connection and can sign in at zoom.us in a normal browser.
Complete the entire Zoom consent screen; canceling leaves the integration disconnected.
On macOS/iOS, Zoom sign-in uses an isolated browser session — try again and enter your Zoom password when prompted.
If the browser tab says sign-in did not complete, close it and retry from Meeting technologies.
Ensure Kauban Mail is allowed to open after the redirect (do not block the app’s URL scheme or the callback page).
Zoom Meeting toggle missing in compose
Confirm you are composing a meeting invite, not a normal email.
Confirm the From account is the one where Zoom shows Connected.
On Linux, there is no separate Zoom toggle — use the calendar meeting invite option when Zoom is connected.
Creating Zoom meeting fails or hangs
Check that Zoom still shows Connected. If not, turn the integration off and on to re-authorize.
Wait for creation to finish before sending; some platforms block send until the meeting is ready.
If Teams is also enabled, turn off Teams for that invite (or vice versa) — only one online meeting provider is used per invite.
Verify your Zoom account can create meetings in the Zoom web or desktop client.
Wrong account or multiple mail accounts
Zoom is connected per mail account. Enable it on each account that should create Zoom meetings.
In compose, select the correct sending account before enabling Zoom.
FAQ
Does Kauban Mail store my Zoom password?
No. You sign in with Zoom’s own authorization flow. Kauban Mail stores OAuth tokens
locally on your device to create meetings until you disconnect or Zoom revokes access.
Do I need Zoom Marketplace and Kauban Mail both installed?
You need the Kauban Mail app on your device. The Marketplace listing is how Zoom
distributes and reviews the OAuth app that Kauban Mail uses. Adding the app in Zoom
and connecting from Kauban Mail both authorize the same integration.
Can I use Zoom and Teams together?
You can connect both under Meeting technologies, but each meeting invite uses only one
online meeting link. Zoom and Teams are mutually exclusive per invite.
What if I only remove the app in Zoom?
Zoom authorization ends. Disconnect Zoom inside Kauban Mail as well so local tokens
are cleared and the UI no longer shows Connected.
